I’m so excited to have had the opportunity to shoot with the incredibly talented photographer, Pierre Lidar. He w as able to capture some amazing moments of me at Grand Central Terminal in New York City. Please enjoy.
I am happy to announce that I will be a new clarinet faculty member at Special Music School. Special Music School is a NYC public [magnet] school, and is the only K-12 music specialized school in New York City. I will have an incoming kindergarten and 1st grade student. They will begin on recorder, then progressing from an Eb clarinet, to C clarinet, and finally reaching a Bb clarinet. I look forward to this amazing teaching opportunity, working with incredible young music students.
I feel extremely honored to have been asked to be part of MNN Studio's (NYC) documentary series, Best and Brightest. This documentary basically recalls my entire musical career path and recounts the lessons I have learned along the way. It is definitely a nice documentation of my life in music.
I'm ecstatic to be a founding member of Trio 212, a NYC-based reed trio. I'm joined by my esteemed colleagues Mark Sophia (oboe) and Joshua Hodge (bassoon). Trio212, is part of a larger music initiative called The Queertet Project. The Queertet Project will concertize performances, collaborating with queer-identifying performers, composers, choreographers, and other artists. Additional long term goals include doing social advocacy and educational outreach work for at-risk LGBTQ populations.
Finally, I have a new and updated website! I'm so excited to have my very own platform to showcase myself and my music. I plan to update my schedule and share any new projects. Stay tuned for more...
